On May 22, the three-day WESAVC concluded successfully at Tianjin Meijiang Convention Center.
As one of the world’s top professional veterinary conferences, the event brought together over 500 pet medical industry elites, experts, scholars, and brand leaders, along with 24,402 practicing veterinarians from across China. Gathering together, they engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, clinical challenges, and industry development trends, creating a diverse and educational yet entertaining exchange platform. This injected new momentum into the standardized, high-quality development of China’s small animal clinical diagnosis and treatment industry.

The conference also featured a range of special activities and branded exhibition zones, seamlessly blending technology showcases, industry networking and interactive experiences. Spanning over 50,000 square metres, Halls N1 through N7 of the Tianjin Meijiang Convention Centre were packed with visitors and completely full. A series of award ceremonies were held consecutively: the 5th Pet Healthcare Distributor Award Ceremony; the 2025–2026 China Pet Industry Annual Influential Figure and High-Quality Development Promoting Institution Award Ceremony; the Outstanding Young Veterinarian Award Ceremony of the 18th WESAVC ; the "Langbot" Annual Benchmark Dean Award Ceremony of WESAVC ; the 2nd Golden Feline Hospital Award Ceremony; the WESAVC 2026Golden Pet Hospital Award Ceremony; and the 3rd Aether Centre Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine Clinical Case Competition.

Four Major Competitions to Build a New Talent Cultivation Ecosystem
Four major competitions were organized: the 8th Golden Feline Knowledge Competition, the 10th Orthopedics Special Competition, the 8th Imaging Skills Competition, and the 1st Veterinarian Entrepreneurship Competition. The 2026 National Pet Diagnosis and Treatment Industry-Education Integration Summit and Talent Double Recruitment Fair was also held to comprehensively promote in-depth industry-education integration and innovative talent cultivation models.
Featured Exhibition Zones to Build a Diversified Edutainment Exchange Platform
A variety of cultural and recreational activities were arranged, including 2026 Veterinary Fun Run, Psychological Counseling, Veterinary Interaction Activity: Honor of Kings Championship, Outstanding Young Veterinarian Badminton Match, Veterinary Reading Day, “Paws in Action” Booth Check-in Activity and WESAVC Veterinary Hall of Fame. These activities provided a relaxing leisure space for busy practitioners to relieve work pressure, broke the rigid boundaries of professional academic exchanges, enabled veterinary practitioners from all fields to deepen connections and friendship in a relaxed atmosphere, and further consolidated industry centripetal force and cohesion.
On-site featured exhibition zones included the Future Pet Hospital Experience Center, International Brand Exhibition Area, Supply Chain Exhibition Area, Pet Medical Star Product · WE New Product Launch Plan, Pet Medical Supply and Demand Matching Platform, and JD Health Integrated Pet Hospital Docking Platform, providing participants with immersive exhibition experience and diversified business cooperation opportunities.
During the conference, two grand banquets were held: WESAVC 2026 Welcome Dinner and WESAVC 2026 Gala Dinner. More than 2,000 professionals from the domestic and international pet medical industry gathered together to witness the grand event.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Yang Qiqing, Member of WESAVC. Wei Rensheng, Chairman of the Executive Committee, delivered a closing summary speech. He pointed out that the conference has always been committed to building a high-standard industry exchange ecosystem. By gathering cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, innovative management concepts and advanced service modes, it continuously drives the steady progress of the pet medical industry. After 17 years of development, the conference has grown into a high-end professional event deeply participated by clinical veterinarians, medical brand owners, channel suppliers and diagnosis and treatment institutions, and has won wide recognition and high praise from industry peers at home and abroad.

The closing ceremony culminated in the flag handover ceremony. Ding Shaozhong, President of Tianjin Small Animal Diagnosis and Treatment Association, handed over the conference flag to Wang Haifei, Secretary-General of Chongqing Pet Diagnosis and Treatment Association, marking the perfect conclusion of the The 18th East and West Small Animal Veterinary Conference.
