On April 2, 2025, the 30th Fashion Source Shenzhen and AW25 Shenzhen Original Design Fashion Week concluded at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian), marking a milestone in China’s fashion industry’s transition from "scale advantage" to "value innovation" through the deep integration of “innovation chain + industrial chain”

Mr. Zhang Xiangquan, Managing Director of GL Events-Pengcheng (Shenzhen) Exhibition Co., Ltd. and Executive President of the Shenzhen Clothing Supply Chain Association, emphasized the event’s role as a "global fashion feast empowering the industry through open ecosystems and technological innovation," highlighting its growing influence as a global leader in textile and apparel innovation.

Spanning 40,000 square meters, the event brought together 800+ domestic and international exhibitors across eight vertical zones, connected nearly ten industrial clusters, and featured multiple special exhibition areas. Over three days, it attracted nearly 40,000 global industry leaders, driving China’s fashion industry toward a higher dimension of value innovation and global collaboration.

From precise supply-demand matching to cross-disciplinary technological integration, the event fully unleashed the vitality of industrial upgrading. The business matchmaking segment invited leading brands and enterprises such as EIFINI, ANZHENG Fashion Group, MO&Co., PEACEBIRD, ELLASSAY, and YINGER Fashion Group (listed in no particular order) to participate. These collaborations adopted a "two-way pursuit" model to align supply and demand, injecting robust momentum into industrial transformation.

Innovation and Sustainability: Redefining the Future of Fashion

· The 26SS Fashion Source Knitting Trends: The "Knitting As It Is" theme showcased over 200 knit samples and 21 garments blending digital technology with traditional craftsmanship.

· The Urlib Selected Zone at Fashion Source Shenzhen serves as a transformative hub bridging commerce and creativity. Centered around five themes — "Threshold Realm," "Quantitative Dialogue," "Dawn Breaks," "Ignition Point," and "Emotion Curator" — it curated 350 innovative fabrics from 100 exhibitors, leveraging immersive interactions to decode fashion trends. By integrating technology to seamlessly connect design language with consumer scenarios, the zone drives the leap from creative inspiration to commercial value.

· “Fashion For Future” Sustainable Fashion Exploration Area: Collaborating with On the RISE, the zone featured eco-friendly materials, circular design practices, and traditional craftsmanship, driving low-carbon transformation.

These three zones—trend foresight, material revolution, and ecological reshaping—formed a complete chain, anchoring sustainable development while driving intelligent upgrades and responsible transformation through technological implementation and storytelling.

"Shape the New Origin: The Boundary-Breaking Narrative of Chinese Original Design

The AW25 Shenzhen Original Design Fashion Week, themed "Shape the New Origin," gathered 80+ emerging designers and premium apparel enterprises across 10,000 square meters, creating an industry feast blending visual aesthetics and commercial value. Through avant-garde runway shows and static displays, Chinese original designs interpreted cultural depth and future visions with diverse languages, highlighting the innovation and growth potential of contemporary fashion.

At the closing show, designer brand MAGGIE MA presented "Grand Mirage," transforming "multidimensional muses in the spectrum of intellect" into fluid sartorial narratives. Low-saturation tones redefined feminine intellectual aesthetics, with restrained elegance embodying strength, allowing the radiance of women’s souls to burst forth as an everlasting energy field.

The highly anticipated "Stellar Starter" supported emerging designers in breaking through from concept to market via industry-academia collaboration and international resources, showcasing China’s accelerating integration into the global fashion ecosystem

Summit Resonance: Zero-Based Mindset Reconstructs Industry Paradigms

The “China Clothing Supply Chain Summit,” themed "Zero-Based Mindset," redefined the industry ecosystem through dual-track discussions at the main summit and the "Magic Cube Fabric" sub-venue. It gathered 60+ global pioneers to debate eight dimensions: emerging brands, knitting innovation, cutting-edge technology, material revolution, sportswear trends, sustainable fashion, original design, and intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship.

The summit used technology as a brush—reconstructing design logic with AI, decoding consumer data for demand insights, and exploring the symbiosis of functionality and aesthetics. It also wielded culture as ink—reshaping Eastern aesthetics in the global fashion narrative through dialogues on heritage preservation and commercial innovation. By analyzing pathways for sustainable brand ecosystems, it forged a Chinese paradigm integrating technological transformation, cultural regeneration, and collaborative business logic.

Fashion Source and Shenzhen Original Design Fashion Week honored industry leaders through awards. This year, 69 partners were recognized: the FS Fashion Awards celebrated 44 pioneers for technological innovation, craftsmanship breakthroughs, and supply chain transformation, while the ODF Fashion Awards highlighted 25 emerging forces for their commercial foresight and creative communication.
