On June 9, the 11th Chengdu Seed Industry Expo concluded at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center. The concurrently held Western China Agricultural Materials Expo, Western Modern Agricultural Facilities and Equipment Exhibition, and Chengdu Agricultural Water-saving Irrigation Exhibition jointly presented a grand feast for the agricultural industry.

The expo attracted more than 500 domestic and foreign enterprises, with 15,741 visitors attending. Professional visitors, including distributors, agents, and large-scale growers, covered over 20 provinces and cities nationwide. Over 10,000 new products in seeds, pesticides, fertilizers, irrigation, and agricultural machinery were displayed on-site. Renowned brands such as Maotai Hongyingzi, Henan Xinyan, Sichuan Fengda, and others showcased cutting-edge technologies and solutions, drawing significant industry attention to their scientific achievements.
Multidimensional Empowerment: Forums + Field Demonstrations Ignite Industrial Innovation
During the expo, more than 10 high-end forums were held, including the 2025 Fresh Food Corn Industry Development Conference and the Western China Agricultural Technology Empowerment Conference. Agricultural experts such as Jia Jun, President of the Fresh Food Corn Branch of the China Seed Association, and Cui Yehan, Vice President of the China Seed Association and President of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) Council, discussed topics like variety R&D and intellectual property protection, exploring integrated approaches for industry-university-research collaboration. Additionally, from June 9 to 15, the Vegetable New Variety Field Demonstration of the 11th Chengdu Seed Industry Expo (Spring) was launched at the Tianfu Shuxiang Expo Park. Over 3,000 varieties entered their prime display period, with "unique vegetables and fruits" competing in the fields, and a fresh food tasting zone was set up for industry exchange.
Global Linkage: Online-Offline Integration Expands Business Cooperation
The expo attracted in-depth participation from domestic and foreign procurement groups, with overseas merchants focusing on seed trade and technical cooperation, and on-site cross-border cooperation negotiations were active. Three official live broadcasts connected with national procurement clubs, where hosts guided viewers through the exhibition online, explaining the characteristics of tens of thousands of exhibits and achieving precise online resource matching. Central and industry media reported on the event from multiple angles, extending its influence from Southwest China to the whole country.
Taking "promoting cooperation and pursuing development" as its core, this expo built a platform for technical exchange and business docking in the agricultural industry. The 2026 Chengdu Seed Industry Expo will reopen in June next year, continuing to boost industrial upgrading.
