From April 21 to 25, the 19th China International Machine Tool Exhibition (CIMT) was successfully held at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi) and the Capital International Exhibition and Convention Center (CIECC), the brand-new venue jointly managed by North Star & GL events.
This landmark collaboration marked a full-capacity operation of the two adjoining mega event venues, also demonstrating Beijing's enhanced capabilities in coordinating large-scale exhibition facilities and setting a replicable operational model for future mega-events.
To further strengthen industry collaboration, the venues partnered with the Beijing International Convention & Exhibition Industry Association (BICEIA) to host the BICEIA Special Event & CIECC Open Day on April 25. Mr. Romain Peiffert, CEO of GL events Greater China and General Manager of CIECC, attended the event, delivering a keynote presentation on venue advantages and case studies in hosting successful exhibitions, while sharing cutting-edge industry insights.
Highlights of CIECC in this event:
- 2 combined exhibition clusters, spanning over 300,000 sqm of indoor exhibition space, ranking fifth nationwide in scale.
- 30 conference spaces operated at near-full capacity, hosting 66 high-end international meetings and activating 12,000 sqm of event space, significantly boosting both efficiency and participant experience.
- To address massive catering demands, a "smart kitchen + networked meal stations + digital coordination" model served 30,000 meals daily.
- 200kg of load capacity per rigging point and 8ton/sqm of floor load, ensured safe installations for heavy machinery.
- A dual-circuit power supply system with smart distribution cabinets and harmonic suppression modules maintained stable 380V±5% three-phase power output.
- The gas supply system delivered precision-controlled 0.8MPa±5% pressure through dedicated pipelines, supported by triple-stage filtration and drying to ensure industrial-grade air quality.
