From November 5th to 10th, 2025, the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. GL events, with the theme "Dynamic" presented its three core businesses in the Trade in Services section (Hall 7.2, Booth C1-01).

 

Strategic Alliances and Leadership Presence Mark CIIE Opening

On the morning of November 6th, the GL events booth opening ceremony was grandly held in a warm atmosphere. Ms. Inès Ginon, President of GL events Greater China, delivered a welcome address, highlighting the recent developmental achievements of the three business divisions from a global group perspective. Mr. Damien Timperio, CEO of the GL events Exhibitions, further elaborated on the segment's global business network. Mr. Romain Peiffert, CEO of GL events Greater China, shared regional development results and the latest strategic layout. Management teams from Group headquarters and Greater China, alongside key partners, gathered to mark the successful opening of GL events' presence at this year's CIIE.

During the exhibition period, GL events welcomed delegations from multiple government bodies and industry associations. Delegations from the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Heilongjiang Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Industry Association, Changchun Municipal Commerce Bureau, and various consulates visited successively. The booth also engaged in in-depth exchanges with government representatives from cities including Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Changchun.

At this CIIE, GL events announced several strategic collaborations, further driving the continuous evolution of the "MICE+" model. The Group established a partnership with Hangzhou West Lake International Expo Management Co., Ltd. to develop a green industry park incorporating international sustainability standards. Simultaneously, the Group formally signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with Minyoun Hospitality to jointly create innovative pathways for integrated exhibition-hotel complexes. Furthermore, GL events engaged in exploratory discussions with the Pudong New Area government and the Disney Resort Administration Committee regarding potential cultural-tourism entertainment projects.

Centering on hot industry topics such as "Global Expansion" and "AI & Digitalization," GL events hosted a full-day special event on the third day themed "Dual-Track Parallel: Empowering the Future." Notably, a specially arranged roundtable discussion at the booth brought together numerous industry leaders to explore solutions for enterprise global expansion. The experts engaged in in-depth discussions on the implementation strategies and practical outcomes of AI technology in real business scenarios, exploring how technological innovation is reshaping the events experience.

In 2026, the Group is poised to expand its global business operations with increased strength. As the temporary facilities services provider for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games., the Group will deliver professional services across 20 venues. Concurrently, the Group has announced its official role as a partner for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and Asian Para Games. The active involvement in these two major sporting events fully demonstrates the Group's efficiency, flexibility, agility, resilience, and professional capability within the realm of international top-tier sports event services.

In China, GL events celebrates significant milestones including the 20th anniversary of key business units and the fifth anniversary of Guangzhou Yuexiu International Conference Center (GYICC).
