Gathering for a Shared Future

The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), the world’s largest comprehensive exhibition platform for the service trade sector, was successfully held in Beijing from September 12 to 16. Under the theme “Global Services, Shared Prosperity,” this year’s event adopted a hybrid online-offline format, serving as a vital platform for expanding openness, deepening cooperation, and fostering innovation.

GL events once again participated in CIFTIS, showcasing its three core business segments at the French National Pavilion (Booth E1-08, Hall 1). The exhibition highlighted the group’s integrated solutions and professional expertise in large-scale sports events, cultural activities, summit forums, and exhibitions, empowering sustainable development in the industry.

Ms. Inès Ginon, CEO of GL events Greater China, stated:

“Sino-French collaboration in the events and exhibitions sector is a key driver of economic growth and business development. Through active partnerships, GL events has significantly facilitated bilateral trade. The innovative technologies featured at this year’s CIFTIS play a pivotal role in enhancing seamless and efficient communication. Moving forward, GL events will prioritize elevating client experiences, pioneering new pathways, and proactively addressing market challenges.”

60 Years of Brilliance: A Sino-French Legacy · Writing New Chapters Together

2024 marks the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations and the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism. To commemorate this milestone, GL events’ booth design merged the scenery of the Seine River with traditional architectural arches, symbolizing a bridge across history and cooperation, reflecting the close political, economic, and trade ties between the two nations.

Flanking the arches, two “story frames” displayed GL events’ global projects and its equestrian event operations, embodying the group’s philosophy of “Bringing People Together” while demonstrating its mature expertise in large-scale sports events. Through CIFTIS, GL events aims to leverage global resources, collaborate with partners, and drive innovation for mutual success.

Mr. Romain Peiffert, CEO of GL events Greater China, remarked:
“China’s continued market openness offers foreign enterprises favorable opportunities and broader growth prospects. GL events is actively engaging in bilateral exchanges for the 60th anniversary, forging new partnerships. At CIFTIS, we deepened cooperation with Chinese companies, explored opportunities, and enhanced our brand presence to better serve the Chinese market and contribute to Sino-French connectivity.”
