From November 19-21, 2024, GL events Venues team was present IBTM Barcelona, a leading event for the meetings, exhibitions, and business tourism industry. GL events showcased its extensive global network and deep local integration capabilities, introducing exceptionally two new venue projects in Greater China towards the international MICE industry for the first time.
The phase II project of Beijing New International Exhibition Center
The Phase II project of the Beijing New International Exhibition Center is the largest comprehensive event complex in Beijing as of now, scheduled for completing construction and inspection by the end of this year and the operations commencing soon in early 2025. Strategically located in Shunyi New Town, just 2 kilometers away from Beijing Capital International Airport, this venue boasts 9 large exhibition halls and 3 entrance halls (east, south, and north), totaling 210,000 sqm of indoor exhibition space and 50,000 sqm of outdoor exhibition space. Complemented by a convention center and a hotel, this event complex offers ample space and comprehensive facilities, making it ideal for hosting high-level exhibitions, conventions, shows, and other events.
Guangzhou Aerotropolis Expo Center (GAEC)
As GL events' second venue in Guangzhou, GAEC is situated in the heart of Guangzhou Aerotropolis Economic Zone's Central Business District, boasting well-connected air-rail networks, just 2 kilometers away from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and approximately 200 meters from Gaozeng Subway Station. This project has a total building area of about 350,000 sqm, including 120,000 sqm of indoor exhibition space and 20,000 sqm of outdoor exhibition space. The initial phase, comprising Exhibition Halls 1 & 2 and the East Plaza, was completed and put into operation, with the entire project planned for full operation in 2026.
