Recently, the newly launched trading card game of "League of Legends" ——"Project K" held its first major martch. The Guangzhou Yuexiu International Convention Center (GYICC), managed by GL events CCI, and the Capital International Exhibition & Convention Center (CIECC), operated by North Star&GL events, hosted the Guangzhou Open Tournament and Beijing Open Tournament, respectively, for the game's inaugural competitive season.
Leveraging large-scale, professional spaces and systematic, streamlined services, the two venues jointly established a solid foundation for the tournaments, ensuring a high-quality and consistent brand presentation from the southern region to the northern region of China.
Prime Urban Locations
On August 23–24, the Project K Guangzhou Open Tournament was successfully held at GYICC. Located in the heart of Guangzhou, the venue offers convenient access via Metro Line 2 and is surrounded by two five-star hotels, providing efficient transportation and comfortable accommodation for all the participants.
Versatile Layout and Flexible Space
The tournament took place in Hall 101, an 8-meter-high exhibition space covering 3,024 square meters. With a maximum capacity of over 3,000 people, the hall can be configured in four different layouts to support a wide range of events.
Near the Airport Hub with Convinient Transportation
On August 30–31, the Rune Wars Beijing Open commenced at CIECC. Situated within the Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone, the venue is only 2 kilometers from the airport and adjacent to Metro Line 15. Its strategic location offered exceptional convenience for players and attendees.
Professional Facilities and High-Quality Experience
The Beijing tournament was held in the multifunctional hall on the third floor of CIECC's Eastern Entrance Hall. The 4,400-square-meter space was flexibly arranged with hundreds of professional gaming tables, accommodating over a thousand participants. Equipped with professional lighting, advanced multimedia systems, and high-quality acoustic panels, the venue delivered an immersive and seamless competitive experience for our players.
The success of the two tournaments highlights GL events Greater China's strong resource coordination and comprehensive service capabilities.
