World Clean Energy Equipment Conference 2022
On August 27, 2022, the World Clean Energy Equipment Conference, jointly organized by the People's Government of Sichuan Province and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, was held in Deyang, Sichuan. Attendees included Ding Zhongli, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee and Chairman of the China Democratic League; Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China; and Huang Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of Sichuan. Tian Yulong, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended and addressed the conference.
Under the theme "New Energy · New Intelligence · New Era," the conference focused on global trends in the clean energy equipment industry under the guidance of carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals. It provided a high-level platform for dialogue on green transformation, sharing of the latest achievements, and discussion of industrial cooperation between China and the international community.
The conference received support from multiple international institutions, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Green Climate Fund. It featured 14 events, including a main forum, thematic forums, a clean energy equipment exhibition, and demonstrations of a clean energy equipment-themed town and eight application scenarios. More than 2,000 participants from 21 countries and regions—including Nobel laureates, members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, renowned experts, leaders of major enterprises, industry elites, and government officials—attended both online and offline, engaging in high-level exchanges on industrial development and academic frontiers.
